What Can I Expect?

Hi, my name is Amy Curran and I am 35 years old.  I have always believed in Jesus since I was young; however, I didn’t know Him until I went to The Church at Woodland .  About a year ago I began an incredible and exciting journey with Jesus and our church that has changed my life.

I used to suffer from severe depression and it disabled me from working for about 4 years.  After having a real relationship with Jesus, our pastors and the church family, I am no longer disabled and I work happily part time 4 days a week.  There are hundreds of other great changes in my life--too many to list.

My church is such an inspiring place to be, I couldn’t stay away so I started volunteering weekly.  I learn a lot, work hard, and most importantly to me, have a lot of fun doing it.  It means a lot to me to have fun doing whatever I do, and our church family and pastors make my journey with Jesus fantastic.

This year our church family is reading the entire bible together with the pastors and the teaching on Sunday is on whatever we have read.  I feel like we are all riding the same great Holy Spirit wave together and it is such an incredible experience.  Our church is "different to make a difference".

We have Family Adventure Night on the first Sunday night of each month. The last one we had was 70’s night and everyone dressed up in 70’s clothes and had a dance contest.  The guys like to go to someone’s property in the woods and blow stuff up or play paintball.  My pastors are fantastic teachers and totally fun to be around; I mean “off the hook” fun!

Right next to our church is Heaven Skates.  It is a skate park that ministers to young skate boarders.  Young lives are being saved and changed there every day, so skaters bring your boards.

Come worship with us at The Church at Woodland . You will be welcome, I guarantee it!

Dear Woodland Family,

We wanted to let everyone know that our family is so grateful to all of you for the generosity, thoughtfulness and prayers that you have given us.  We feel very blessed to be part of such a wonderful family.  The support and love expressed since Toni’s unexpected injury has been an amazing experience.  We are overwhelmed by the immediate response of contributions and support.  The loyalty and love shown throughout this time has been bonded in our hearts.

When the church family heard of Toni’s injury, the fast response of help and support saved our family from financial ruin and unbearable hardship.  We were not even aware of our hopeless situation until hope arrived.  We were not expecting anything; then we got everything.  Thank you for being aware of a bad situation and making such a big impact on our lives.

The meals that arrive at our door are graciously accepted and made us realize that God works through you.  Transportation, phone calls, babysitting, gifts, visits and genuine concern have made a huge impact and has made this less of a burden.  Most of all the prayers you have prayed are being answered.  Thank you.

Love,

The Stratfords
